Be home for Christmas?

[Nephrite]

He picked up his protesting son and fixed Ami with an intense gaze. "Actually, no I won't." He then began to walk past her toward the rooms in the palace they had once shared.

[Ami Mizuno]

"I'm suprised that you've given up Nephrite. It was something I hadn't expected. What happend exactly? When did you loose that loving side of you?" She said still with her back turned. "Why did you stop trying to get threw?" She inquired

[Nephrite]

"I suppose I got tired of throwing myself at a brick wall." he said but kept walking.

[Ami Mizuno]

Ami just smiled weakly, but it faded into her normal scowl. As much as the power was addicting, she missed the simple things in life. She suddenly figured out what had been bothering her so much. She despite having everything she should have... she missed her life from before.

[Nephrite]

"Dad!" Alex said. "Why are you leaving mom behind?"


Nephrite sighed. "I'll explain later Alex. You need to go to bed soon, remember tomorrow is Christmas."

[Ami Mizuno]

Ami stood tall, though she was glance Nephrite and Alex were behind her. She'd never let things get inside before, but his words, however true they were. Had done just that.. gotten inside and were wrecking havoc with the good part of Ami that still existed inside. She could feel her hands shaking and did her best to make no sound.

[Nephrite]

Nephrite wasted no time in putting his son to bed once they had gotten home. Alex was not a happy boy when he went to bed, but tomorrow he would be more then enough distracted. Nephrite walked into his bed room and began to prepare for bed. He mostly went through the motions as his mind was on Ami as it always nearly was. He had just slipped on his pajama pants when his eye caught some falling snow outside. Ami had always loved winter and now she was as cold as the ice she called forth in battle.

Ami knew the moment that she'd teleported into their apartment, she'd crossed a line somewhere, but she needed to get these thoughts out of her head. In the very least, Nephrite at least owed her at least one conversation that didn't end before she could even start talking.

[Nephrite]

"I thought I told you to leave?" he said quietly without even turning around.

[Ami Mizuno]

"I thought you knew me better. You know I won't leave Nephrite, not until you listen to me. Which you're not doing." She said with a frown.

[Nephrite]

"Then say it and leave." he said turning to face her. He crossed his arms over his bare chest and awaited her answer.

[Ami Mizuno]

Ami wasn't sure she could say it. It would mean that she'd be admiting that an old part of her still existed and that was something that could be used against her. But watching him like this, her movements were almost automatic. Before she'd even registered it, she was standing mere inches from him. "It's killing me Nephrite..."

[Nephrite]

He looked down at her with a cold expression. All the years of failing to change her back were starting to catch up with him. This was his biggest failure and it was having its effect on him finally.

"What's killing you? That your attempts to get under my skin didn't work? Go bother Kunzite I am sure he'd love to see you."

[Ami Mizuno]

Ami knew that he was merely trying to protect himself. Keep himself from getting hurt again and god knows she’d hurt him more than just once. It had almost as one point been a game for her. But hearing his words, and the harsh tone that he’d delivered them in, it had thrown her off balance. Immense hurt flashed in her eyes, all to reminiscent of the real Ami. She took a step back, as if she was afraid he’d strike her. “I…” Her lip quivered slightly and she was trying to hold it together, but failing.

"Ami," he said. "I don't know what you are up too, but it is not going to work. I am not buying the act. I want you gone, away from me and Alex."
